Shavon Warrick was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from the University of the District of Columbia, and her Master's degree in Social Work from Howard University. Shavon is also a certified life coach and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from CalSouthern University. She has worked in a variety of settings ranging from foster care and adoption, international social work and clinical work in her private practice.

In 2018, Shavon tapped into her other God given ability as she dived into the beauty industry. She is a certified eyelash extensionist and makeup artist. Surprisingly the mental health and beauty industry work hand in hand. Research suggests that women experience a significant boost in their mood when they look their absolute best. The smile on a woman's face after she receives a makeover is priceless. Or have you ever noticed a little girl at the nail salon and her sudden boost of confidence. Shavon is dedicated to the enhancement of beauty both inside and out.

Have you ever thought about the correlation between your symptoms of depression and your relationship with God? Are we creating more anguish and frustration in our own lives because we have a tendency to take matters into our own hands by failing to trust God. We constantly make decisions that we know God does not approve of, we rush into situations that will inevitably fail, we trust people that have never proven their loyalty, we fall "in love" with people that have never earned our hearts and we settle for less versus waiting for God's best.
